Termite baiting for active termites
Termite baiting is one of the most rewarding parts of dealing with termites, at least for James, who loves the challenge and skill of eradicating active termites from homes and businesses.
The process involves strategically placing baiting stations around an affected property. The goal is to have foraging termites find the timber inside the station. Little do these termites know, each station also contains growth inhibitor, which is non-toxic to humans.
These foraging termites ingest the growth inhibitor and then unknowingly bring it back to the colony. Once the growth inhibitor is introduced to the colony, it slowly spreads. Eventually, it eradicates the termite colony from the property.
Treatments to keep termites out
We use a range of termite treatments to kill active termites and to deter termite entry into buildings. Here are the methods we use:
Termite monitoring and baiting stations to treat active termites and act as a longer-term preventative measure.
Chemical termite reticulation system recharging, which delivers a fresh supply of termiticide into the soil beneath a building.
Chemical perimeter soil treatments that we hand spray around the perimeter of a building to help deter termite entry.
