Termite Barriers for Yeppoon Homes and Commercial Projects
Termi Home & Commercial (Central QLD) supplies and installs termite management systems for new homes and commercial buildings in Yeppoon and the surrounding Capricorn Coast.
From a coastal home in Yeppoon, Taranganba or Lammermoor to a commercial development near the town centre, termite protection needs to be integrated into the building’s design and construction schedule.
Our team works with builders, homeowners and project teams to review the plans and coordinate installation at the appropriate stages.
Local Experience. Established Support.
Our service centre has operated from Yeppoon for more than 20 years. Owners Monty and Alina Fitzgerald bring extensive pest management experience from across regional Queensland, including 13 years operating a business servicing more than 35 mine sites throughout the Bowen Basin.
Long-serving team members continue to provide local knowledge and practical support. The business has also been a member of the Queensland Master Builders Association for more than 10 years.
Stainless Steel Termite Protection
The Termimesh System is a physical termite barrier made from TMA725 stainless steel mesh. Its corrosion resistance makes it well suited to coastal construction in Yeppoon, where material selection needs to account for exposure to salt-laden air.
The system’s physical protection does not rely on chemical termiticides that can be washed out or diluted by rain. The mesh openings are too small for termites to pass through, and the material is too strong for them to chew through.
Termimesh is installed during construction around service penetrations, construction joints and the slab perimeter, in accordance with AS 3660.1 and the project’s installation requirements. The system has been installed more than 700,000 times since its introduction in 1990.
Support for Yeppoon Builders
Construction details vary between a new coastal home, a multi-unit development and commercial premises. Our team reviews the termite management requirements alongside the building plans to determine how Termimesh will be integrated.
We provide quoting directly from plans, supported by more than 150 Termimesh specification drawings for residential and commercial installations.
Installation is coordinated with your site supervisor around the relevant construction stages, including work required before the concrete pour and later perimeter installation. The number and timing of visits depend on the project.
We also provide installation documentation and coordinate with your builder and certifier to confirm the certification required for the work.
- A QMBA member of more than 10 years – we understand what Queensland builders expect from the trades on their sites
- Wet season resilient – as a physical termite barrier, installation and performance are far less weather-dependent than treatments that cannot go into saturated ground
- Two efficient site visits – penetrations and joints before the pour, perimeter after curing, both coordinated with your supervisor
- Form 16 certification supplied on completion – compliance documentation ready for certifier sign-off and your occupancy requirements
- Quoting directly from plans – supported by more than 150 specification drawings for residential and commercial installations

Building a New Home in Yeppoon?
Termite protection is an important consideration for new homes throughout coastal Queensland. A beachside address does not remove the risk of subterranean termite attack, and the system selected during construction becomes part of the building’s ongoing termite management.
Termimesh provides poison-free physical protection without ongoing chemical retreatments. Planning the installation before construction reaches the relevant stages allows the system to be incorporated into the home’s design.
After handover, regular termite inspections remain important. Gardens, paving and other additions can affect visual inspection zones or create routes around a barrier if they are not considered carefully.
Backed by the Pledge Guarantee
The Termimesh Pledge Guarantee provides an initial 10-year warranty term, with no compulsory annual termite inspections required to keep the guarantee valid during that period.*
The guarantee has no dollar limit on eligible damage repairs resulting from termites breaching the Termimesh System. Cover can also be extended through approved annual termite inspections, subject to the guarantee’s terms.*
Regular inspections are still recommended, including during the initial warranty term. AS 3660.1 recommends termite inspections approximately every 6 to 12 months, with more frequent inspections advisable in tropical regions.

What is the difference between a termite breach and a termite bridge?
A breach occurs when termites get through the termite management system itself. Bridging occurs when termites build a route over or around the system. Garden beds, paving and other additions can conceal these routes if they obstruct the visual inspection zone. Keeping this zone clear and arranging regular termite inspections remain important after a barrier is installed.
Do you provide installation certification (Form 16) in Queensland?
Yes. We provide installation documentation (Form 16) for the termite management work completed on your project. Our team coordinates with your builder and certifier to confirm the certification required for the building and the scope of work.
Is Termimesh suitable for commercial and industrial projects?
Yes. Termimesh can be integrated into commercial, industrial and government buildings, as well as homes. Our Yeppoon team can review project plans and provide installation details suited to the building’s design and construction requirements.
Do coastal homes in Yeppoon still need termite protection?
Yes. A coastal location does not remove the risk of subterranean termite attack. Termite management should be considered during the design and construction of your Yeppoon home. The appropriate system will depend on the building’s construction, applicable requirements and project specifications.
How far in advance should builders arrange a Termimesh installation?
Contact our team during the planning or quoting stage, before the slab date is confirmed. Early coordination allows us to review the drawings and schedule installation around the relevant construction stages, including work required before the concrete pour.
